XL Mechanical Gooseneck Expandable
XL Mechanical Gooseneck Expandable
XL Mechanical Gooseneck Expandable Information
XL’s MGX trunnion trailer’s most popular capacity is 100,000 pounds in 16 feet. Coming in at a total of 44 feet long, the MGX offers a 23-foot-long load-bearing main deck. The X in MGX is for ‘Expandable’ – referencing the expandable rear deck. The trailer expands from 8-foot, 6-inches wide to 10-foot wide. This allows users to add the extra width when needed for axle laws and avoid over-width permits when possible. XL’s MGX trunnion trailer features a 16-tire group and wheel area that expands from 8-foot 6-inches wide to 10-foot wide using air cylinders. This allows users to add the extra width when needed for axle laws and avoid over-width permits when possible. This set up is often used in the Western United States, especially California, where the 16-tire group provides benefits to scaling loads while adhering to their unique axle laws. The shorter length of these trailers compared to other lowboys of the same capacity makes them favorable for hauling construction equipment as well as maneuvering in cities. XL’s MGX trailers feature a two-year structural warranty and are built-to-last with T1 flange and 80k webs.
